Overview
Operating Room Technician (OR Tech) – OR Tech specialty – Kansas City, KS, United States. Start date: 06/14/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,237–$2,350 per week. Guaranteed hours: not guaranteed. Shift: 4×10-hour days. Travel assignment in a hospital surgical setting.

Responsibilities
– Provide circulating and scrub support for cardiovascular operating room procedures, including cardiothoracic surgeries, under supervision of the surgical team
– Prepare the OR by setting up sterile equipment, instrument trays, and supplies; maintain sterile field; pass instruments; assist with counts and specimen handling
– Assist with patient positioning, draping, and transfer to and from the OR; support with implant logistics and room turnover
– Collaborate with the circulating nurse, scrub tech, and anesthesia team to ensure instrument readiness and efficient case flow
– May float to additional ORs and the sterile processing department as needed; participate in weekend rotations and on-call as required

Requirements
– Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) license and BLS certification
– Minimum 2 years CVOR experience in a Level 1 trauma center; previous circulating experience; recent strong scrub experience on cardiac surgeries
– Demonstrated ability to scrub and circulate in cardiovascular surgery settings
– Ability to work 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts; typical schedule ~40 hours per week; must be willing to work holidays and weekend rotations; on-call as required
– Willingness to travel and adapt to a hospital OR environment
