We’re looking for a Software Delivery Manager to lead the delivery and evolution of high-performing Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) platforms for the Hot Topic Web Engineering team. This role is heavily focused on backend development within SFCC and requires deep expertise in e-commerce systems, paired with strong leadership to guide cross-functional, distributed teams. The ideal candidate brings hands-on SFCC backend experience, a strong foundation in e-commerce architecture, and a proven ability to lead onshore and offshore teams across multiple roles, levels, and vendors to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, proven deliver experience, and the ability to balance hands-on technical leadership with strategic planning and effective management so ensure delivery of scalable, user-focused digital experiences.
This role will be onsite 2 days per week in our City of Industry, CA office.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of SFCC-based e-commerce platforms, with a strong emphasis on backend development and system integrations.
- Provide technical leadership in Salesforce Commerce Cloud, ensuring best practices across architecture, performance, scalability, and security.
- Direct and coordinate onshore and offshore teams, including internal engineers, external partners, and vendors across varying roles and experience levels.
- Own delivery timelines and execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time and aligned to business priorities.
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Drive backend solutioning, including integration cartridges, APIs, and service frameworks within SFCC.
- Partner with Product, UX/UI, QA, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Establish and enforce development standards, with a focus on backend quality, maintainability, and performance.
- Manage capacity planning, backlog prioritization, and release planning to support consistent delivery.
- Identify and implement improvements across processes, team structure, and delivery efficiency.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with strong emphasis on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC)
- Proven hands-on backend development experience within SFCC, including Script APIs, controllers/pipelines, Integration cartridges and service frameworks , Open Commerce APIs (OCAPI), Business Manager configurations
- Work with the latest architecture (SFRA) and additional ecommerce related platforms
- Strong background in e-commerce platforms and architectures (required).
- Experience leading distributed teams (onshore/offshore) and coordinating across multiple stakeholders, roles, and vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to drive delivery, manage timelines, and ensure projects are completed on schedule.
- Solid understanding of system integrations, RESTful APIs, and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- SFCC Architect certification preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Please note the pay range for this position starts as listed in the job posting, but other factors such as an individual’s education, location, meeting the minimum job requirements for the role, training and experience, will determine the final salary for potential new hires.
