Make a positive impact in education as a full-time School Psychologist for the 2026-27 school year, serving a high school population in the greater Portland area. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals who are committed to supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth within a school environment.
You’ll work onsite from 7:30am to 3:30pm daily, collaborating with educators, families, and students in a dynamic setting. The position focuses on providing expert consultations, leading and facilitating IEP meetings, conducting comprehensive evaluations, and delivering counseling services to support student success.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Oregon state School Psychologist license (required)
- Minimum of three years of experience as a practicing School Psychologist (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of assessment practices, intervention strategies, and educational law related to special education
- Experience working with high school-aged students and addressing a variety of social-emotional and learning needs
- Proven ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with staff, students, and families
- Willingness to participate in a pre-screening conversation with the Administrative Secretary prior to interviewing with the director
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psycho-educational assessments and interpret evaluation data
- Facilitate IEP meetings and guide the development of effective educational plans
- Provide individual and group counseling as needed
- Consult with teachers, families, and administrators to create supportive learning environments
- Promote best practices for student mental health and well-being
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance with state and federal guidelines
