- Demonstrated experience with regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and budget management.
- Current, unrestricted registered Nurse (RN) license on the state of Colorado or Compact.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred
- Certified Surgical Services Manager(CSSM) preferred
- Strong knowledge of perioperative standards of care and infection prevention
- Thorough understanding of CMS Conditions of Participation for Critical Access Hospitals
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards and AORN guidelines
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a small hospital environment
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and physician-relations skills
- Ability to analyze quality metrics, implement corrective action plans, and lead performance improvoment initiatives

- Develops and manages the Surgical Services operating and capital budgets.

- Ensures safe patient care across all perioperative phases.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical leaders to maintain efficient surgical throughput.
- Oversee sterile processing operations and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards.
- Serves as liaison between Surgical Services, medical staff, hospital administration, and ancillary departments.
- Promotes strong physician engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Summary
The Operating Room (OR) Manager is responsible for the leadership and daily operations of Surgical Services within St. Vincent Health. This includes oversight of perioperative, intraoperative, post-anesthesia care (PACU), sterile processing, and related perioperative services. The manager ensures high-quality, safe, and cost-effective patient care in accordance with federal and state regulations, including standards established by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE). This role requires strong operational leadership, regulatory knowledge, fiscal management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, anesthesia providers, and hospital leadership at St. Vincent Health. This is an expansion role and may include additional leadership responsibilities and operational oversight for other clinical service areas as organizational needs evolve.
