Job Summary
Clinical care of children with general neurological disorders including epilepsy in outpatient and inpatient settings.

- Mentorship & education of residents/fellows
- Interpretation of electroencephalograms and other related studies used in epilepsy
Work Location
Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Assistant Professor:
- 0–6 years of clinical experience, interest in pursuing academic promotion
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic
- Board Eligibility in Neurology with a Special Competence in Child Neurology
- Training in movement disorders or sufficient clinical experience to allow for specialization
- DEA certificate
- Ability to obtain Colorado Medical License
Associate Professor:
- 6 or more years of clinical experience
- Prior experience with program development, teaching or research
- Examples of scholarship
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic
- Board Eligibility in Neurology with a Special Competence in Child Neurology
- Training in movement disorders or sufficient clinical experience to allow for specialization
- DEA certificate
- Ability to obtain Colorado Medical License
Professor:
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
- Board Eligibility in Neurology with a Special Competence in Child Neurology
- DEA certificate
- Ability to obtain Colorado Medical License
- 10 or more years of experience as an attending physician and academic qualifications to fulfill requirements of professor rank
- Experience with program development, teaching or research commensurate with professor rank
- Examples of scholarship commensurate with professor rank
Condition of Employment
- Must successfully pass a drug test through Children’s Hospital Colorado
- Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check

- Strong communication skills
- Broad knowledge and clinical skills in general pediatric neurology and epilepsy
Anticipated Pay Range
HIRING RANGE: Assistant Professor: $224,000–232,000; Associate Professor: $257,000–268,000; Professor: $284,000–$325,000. The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
