About This Role
We are searching for an enthusiastic and nurturing Toddler Teacher to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of child development principles, be skilled at designing and implementing tailored lesson plans, and create a supportive classroom environment that encourages independence, curiosity, and social-emotional growth in toddlers aged 1 to 3 years.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement interactive, age-specific lesson plans that support language, motor skills, social-emotional development, and cognitive growth.
- Establish a warm and inclusive environment that promotes safety, respect, and positive relationships among children and staff.
- Maintain a well-organized, clean, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents and families regarding children’s progress, daily activities, and any concerns.
- Closely observe and document each child’s growth, development, and behavior.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and administrators to create a cohesive and engaging learning environment.
- Supervise toddlers during play, meals, naptime, and transitions, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards at all times.
- Attend required training sessions, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare setting.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential is a plus.
- Strong understanding of child development and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, energetic, and able to adapt to the dynamic needs of young children.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
