Capitalize on Capital Solutions

Oaktree’s Capital Solutions team focuses on enhancing Oaktree’s strategic relationships with the broader capital markets community and is responsible for all financing, seasoning and warehousing activity across Oaktree funds.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Oaktree Origination Vehicle Solution (OVS) program, assist with cash management and strategic advisory on sublines.
  • Manage day‑to‑day OVS process and raise alerts for any deviation from V2 workflow or key controls.
  • Partner with various teams to ensure seasoning and warehouse portfolios move through the workflow and adhere to client risk/concentration limits.
  • Track subline utilization, borrowing‑base trends to support recommendations for upsizing/downsizing sublines.
  • Create and maintain reports supporting OVS and subline processes, including analyses of key metrics and continuous‑improvement recommendations.
  • Support client‑facing materials in coordination with the Client Relations team.
  • Collaborate with investment and operations teams to optimize cash management and monitor origination vehicles, escalating any non‑compliance with LPA controls or subline policy.
  • Monitor industry trends and research to inform actionable financing strategies and strengthen Oaktree’s position within the private capital markets.

Data Management Initiatives

  • Oversee creation and maintenance of a master database for the Origination Vehicle Solutions ecosystem and for subscription lines, NAV and asset‑based facilities.
  • Oversee implementation of third‑party workflow management software (OVS and Axon tools).
  • Liaise with data management and information solutions to automate processes.
  • Prepare internal and external presentations and reports on time, with accuracy and clarity.
  • Build effective working relationships with banks and internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as internal contact for fund‑finance inquiries from portfolio managers, relationship managers, investment professionals, legal, corporate and accounting teams.
  • Work with the Head of Capital Markets and Capital Markets Managing Directors to foster and enhance lender and independent‑advisor relationships through reviews, industry participation and conferences.
  • Assist with transaction execution of new subscription lines, NAV, asset‑based and hybrid facilities and lead extensions/amendments.
  • Coordinate with lenders, external counsel and internal teams (accounting, legal, finance, investment teams, tax, KYC) to facilitate transaction documentation and compliance with key controls.
  • Continuously monitor facilities and recommend upsizing or downsizing as appropriate.
  • Check standard execution processes and immediately raise deviations.
  • Assist with maintaining database and reports supporting Capital Solutions processes and key metrics.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant business experience (consulting, investment banking, advisory, finance, capital markets, strategic planning or corporate development).
  • Outstanding analytical, project‑management and process‑improvement skills, with a track record of using technology to streamline workflows and reduce risk.
  • Experience managing direct and indirect team members across functional business lines.
  • Ability to synthesize challenges and tell a compelling story through consumable materials.
  • Experience working with and reviewing large sets of data, including data manipulation and reconciliations.
  • Strong task management and prioritization skills, driving projects to completion with measurable results.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty, with a proven record of solving complex problems.
  • Expertise preparing and reviewing complex financial models and clear communication.

Personal Attributes

  • Exceptional financial modeling skills; highly advanced in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI, Python or database experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team‑oriented setting, driving work with limited supervision while representing department and management interests.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong integrity, professionalism and sound judgment that balances multiple factors.
  • Ability to interface with stakeholders and demonstrate problem‑solving skills.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required.

Compensation

Base Salary Range: $225,000 – $250,000
