Senior Tax Accountant and Tax Manager

Location: Cerritos, CA – Onsite

Compensation: $125K-$140K+ base, commensurate with experience

About the Roles

Both positions require strong technical expertise in tax preparation and planning, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to client service.

You’ll work closely with clients across industries, handling complex tax matters and contributing to our firm’s reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and exempt organization tax returns, including multi-state filings.
• Review client general ledgers and financial statements; prepare adjusting journal entries for book and tax purposes.
• Provide proactive tax planning and consulting to clients.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients.
• (Manager-level only) Supervise and mentor Tax Accountants and Associates, review their work, and support their professional development.

Requirements

Qualifications

• CPA designation required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s in Taxation a plus)
• Minimum 5 years’ recent public accounting experience for Sr. Tax Accountant; 8+ years and proven team leadership for Tax Manager
• Strong technical knowledge of tax laws and regulations
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
