JM Services and Consulting, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Copy Editor to join our team in Santa Fe Springs, CA. As a Copy Editor, you will be responsible for reviewing and editing various written materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency. Key Responsibilities:

– Review and edit a variety of written materials, including articles, reports, press releases, marketing materials, and more

– Ensure all written materials adhere to company style and branding guidelines

– Check for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting errors

– Fact-check information and sources to ensure accuracy

– Collaborate with writers and other team members to improve the overall quality of written materials

– Meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously

– Provide constructive feedback to writers to improve their writing skills

– Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes in language usage

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field

– Minimum of 2 years of experience as a copy editor or similar role

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills

– Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors

– Proficient in using editing and proofreading tools

– Familiarity with AP Style and other style guides

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team

– Strong time-management and organizational skills

– Knowledge of SEO and online content best practices is a plus
