Responsibilities
- Leading mechanical design and integration of missile launchers, weapons hardware, and mission systems
- Architecting structural frames, mounts, mechanisms, and enclosures for high shock and vibration environments
- Developing detailed 3D CAD assemblies and interface control documentation for system level integration
- Supporting prototyping, qualification testing, and transition from development into production
- Leading mechanical integration activities with cross functional engineering, manufacturing, and platform teams
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Experience designing missile, rocket, launcher, or defense platform mechanical systems
- Strong CAD expertise with large assemblies using SolidWorks or similar platforms
- Experience with structural analysis methods including hand calculations or FEA
- Knowledge of ruggedized military hardware design and environmental qualification standards
