OVERVIEW:
The Front of House Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional food quality, customer experience, staff performance, and financial success. This role requires hands-on leadership, operational know-how, and a deep commitment to creating a smooth and welcoming guest experience–primarily for to-go orders with limited dine-in.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all daily operations of the restaurant, including all front-of-house functions and coordinating service with the back of house team.
- Hire, train, and supervise staff; schedule shifts and manage labor costs efficiently.
- Lead by example in delivering warm, attentive customer service—primarily for counter and online orders.
- Maintain operational systems (POS, online ordering platforms, scheduling tools) to maximize efficiency and output, while ensuring first in class guest service and ensuring staff are properly trained on their use.
- Ensure all food and beverage products meet quality standards and are executed consistently.
- Able to handle guest complaints or order issues with empathy, clarity, and efficiency.
- Monitor compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food, beverage, and labor costs.
- Develop and implement systems to increase efficiency, and enhance the guest experience.
- Oversee daily cash handling, deposits, and end-of-day procedures.
- Ensure all equipment and facilities are well-maintained and functional.
- Foster a positive and professional team environment; lead by example and support staff development.
- Uphold company policies, values, and standards at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 3 years of restaurant management experience, pizza or fast-casual experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Proficient with restaurant POS systems (Toast preferred) and basic financial reporting.
- Proficient in using scheduling software (7Shifts preferred).
- Passion for food, hospitality, and team development.
- Familiarity with delivery platforms (e.g. Uber Eats) and online ordering systems is preferred.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
