We’re a well-funded, early-stage deep-tech company building autonomous inspection systems for critical infrastructure. Our platform combines advanced sensing hardware with real-time software to deliver reliable, high-fidelity environmental understanding in challenging operational conditions. We’re growing our perception team to own and evolve the sensing stack end-to-end.
What You’ll Do:
- Own the sensing and perception stack from sensor evaluation through to production-ready data outputs
- Evaluate, select, and validate sensors including sonar, vision, radar, and navigation systems
- Characterize sensor behavior across noise, bias, latency, failure modes, and environmental effects
- Design calibration, synchronization, and validation pipelines to ensure consistent data quality
- Develop perception and sensor fusion approaches that transform raw sensor data into usable representations
- Build tooling to visualize, replay, and inspect raw and processed sensor data
- Diagnose perception failures in real-world deployments and drive fixes across software, sensors, or system design
- Collaborate closely with autonomy, systems, and downstream users to deliver trustworthy data products
You Should Have:
- 2–4+ years’ experience in software engineering with a focus on perception and sensors
- Strong proficiency in C++ and Python on Linux-based systems
- Hands-on experience working with real-world sensor data (e.g. sonar, vision, radar, GNSS, IMU) Comfort owning problems end-to-end in hardware-software integrated systems
- A practical, data-driven mindset for debugging complex, real-world failures
Bonus:
- Experience in robotics, autonomy, or fielded sensing systems
- Sensor fusion or calibration pipeline experience
- Background working in harsh or operationally constrained environments
- Early-stage startup experience or comfort operating with high ownership and ambiguity
