Summary

The Mechanical Construction Assistant Project Manager for the San Diego, CA location has the following duties: ensuring safety of field personnel, overseeing field labor productivity, quality assurance and coordination, project financial projections and reporting, material and equipment procurement, change order management, owner/client relations, project cash flow, and personnel management. The role requires compliance with all company policies, procedures, plans, and programs. Other duties may be assigned.

Preferred Education and/or Experience

Candidates should have 5-7 years of construction-related experience and/or a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management. They should be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Computer Skills

Able to effectively operate software programs including Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Access, and PowerPoint; Bluebeam Revu PDF editing; Vista-Viewpoint (Project Management & Accounting Software); and Quotesoft Estimating Software.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform basic business mathematical functions.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Language Skills
