Position Summary

RMGME is seeking a Internal Medicine Residency Program Coordinator to support the administration and day-to-day operations of an ACGME-accredited or developing graduate medical education program. This role is ideal for someone with prior experience in an Internal Medicine residency program, though experience in any ACGME-accredited training program may be suitable. The ideal candidate will understand GME structure, accreditation requirements, resident administration, and the importance of organized program coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day administrative operations of residency and fellowship programs
  • Support compliance with ACGME requirements, policies, timelines, and documentation standards
  • Maintain resident and program files, evaluations, schedules, onboarding materials, and rotation records
  • Assist with accreditation preparation, site visit readiness, annual updates, and program reporting
  • Coordinate meetings, didactics, committee logistics, faculty communications, and resident communications
  • Support onboarding of residents, faculty, and trainees in collaboration with institutional leadership
  • Track milestones, evaluations, duty hour processes, and program documentation
  • Serve as a central administrative resource for program leadership, residents, and faculty

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience in residency/fellowship coordination or academic medical education strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of ACGME standards, GME processes, and residency administration
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Background

  • Experience in an Internal Medicine residency program preferred
  • Experience with MedHub, New Innovations, or similar GME platforms preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced academic environment with professionalism and discretion
