Senior Manager, Global Digital Communications

As a Senior Manager, Global Communications – Digital, you will lead a team of three and play a pivotal role in shaping and managing Capital Group’s internal digital channels. Your responsibilities include developing and overseeing strategic communication plans that leverage intranet, email distribution systems, digital screens, and new mobile technologies. You will put Capital Group’s internal communications at the forefront of AI transformation, collaborating closely with IT, HR, Legal, and business leaders to create engaging, intuitive digital experiences for more than 9,000 associates worldwide.

Global Communications is a key enabler of Capital Group’s Long Term Strategic Plan (LTSP). As part of the Global Communications Team, you will build strategies and initiatives that shape how associates perceive the organization during a period of significant change.

You will be based in our downtown Los Angeles, Irvine, or New York offices and will require an in‑office presence four days a week.

Accountable For

Strategic Planning

  • Lead strategic communication initiatives that position Capital Group at the forefront of digital innovation and AI transformation.
  • Shape and manage internal digital channels and frameworks, ensuring timely, relevant, and impactful content.
  • Support business priorities through measurable communication plans and influence stakeholders to adopt new ideas.
  • Coordinate across GC functions and teams to execute comprehensive plans that align with the LTSP and business priorities.

Stakeholder Influence and Partnership

  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with IT, HR, Legal, and business leadership to design and implement solutions that enhance associate engagement.
  • Anticipate stakeholder needs proactively to build trust through reliability and foresight.
  • Identify and address stakeholder issues promptly, proposing practical solutions and ensuring follow‑through.

Leadership

  • Mentor and inspire the team, fostering a culture of innovation and professional growth.
  • Act as a trusted partner and strategic advisor, setting direction for communications initiatives aligned with broader business priorities.
  • Lead multiple projects and workstreams, providing clear direction and demonstrating empathy.

Project and Production Management

  • Lead projects with stakeholder alignment and measurable outcomes, defining scope and ensuring timely, high‑quality delivery.
  • Make strategic recommendations for resourcing and budgeting to enable success.
  • Manage risks, drive executional excellence, and translate strategy into impactful communications.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in internal communications, digital channel strategy, and/or content operations within a large, matrixed organization.
  • Passion for improving information flow and creating engaging digital employee experiences.
  • In‑depth knowledge of current and emerging communications trends, channels, and best practices, particularly in the digital space.
  • Experience with UX/UI principles, change management, and agile workflows.
  • Proficient in communicating with technical teams to translate business needs into clear digital communication solutions.
  • Commitment to continuous innovation and staying abreast of industry trends.
  • Track record of inspiring and mentoring colleagues to enhance their skills and bring fresh ideas to audiences.
  • Comfortable working four days a week in Los Angeles, Irvine, or New York offices.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $178,847–$304,040

New York Base Salary Range: $189,603–$322,325

In addition to a highly competitive base salary per plan guidelines, you will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, Capital’s annual profitability bonus, and a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
