We’re working with a fast-paced, independent Travel Management Company, setting ambitious targets to triple turnover, with a substantial portion coming from their vital US market. We’re seeking a Sales Lead to drive their new business efforts in the US!

This is a critical role focused on new business acquisition, directly contributing to our profitability and expansion. You will be accountable for achieving ambitious sales targets by securing new clients for our cutting-edge travel management solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic New Business Development: Meticulously planning and executing sales activities to meet and exceed ambitious targets, focusing on corporate clients with significant travel spend.
  • Proactive Prospecting & Engagement: Identifying and qualifying new opportunities, conducting cold outreach, securing meetings, and delivering compelling, differentiated presentations.
  • End-to-End Sales Leadership: Managing the full sales cycle, including complex RFPs, collaborating with internal teams to develop winning proposals.
  • Pipeline Management & Reporting: Maintaining accurate CRM records and providing regular, insightful updates on your sales pipeline and activity.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working seamlessly with internal teams to ensure new business integrations are smooth and client relationships flourish.

What We’re Looking For

  • You are a sales professional with a track record of winning large-scale accounts (e.g., £2M+ spend).
  • You possess at least five years of sales experience and excel at identifying, developing, and closing new opportunities.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to articulate value are essential.
  • You are a self-starter with strong communication and presentation abilities, capable of engaging at all organisational levels.
  • Your career reflects consistent, quantifiable achievements.
  • Experience in an independent travel agency setting is beneficial, and you’re comfortable with business travel as required.
