Senior Java AWS Developer – Contract

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Java AWS Developer for a contract with a client in Malvern, PA. Candidate must have strong capability in developing and integrating Java‑based microservices using Spring Boot and AWS cloud components.

Rate Range

$41/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Responsibilities

• Developing scalable Java and Spring Boot–based microservices while ensuring seamless integration with AWS cloud services.
• Implementing AWS components such as S3, EC2, DynamoDB, Lambda, and CloudWatch to support application performance and reliability.
• Building CI/CD pipelines and managing version control using tools like Jenkins, Maven, Git, and Bitbucket.
• Reviewing code and design artifacts to ensure high‑quality development standards and proper system integration.
• Integrating REST APIs and supporting end‑to‑end testing using JUnit and Cucumber.
• Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and enhance overall system architecture.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related engineering field.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• Must have strong capability in building Java/Spring Boot microservices and integrating AWS cloud services.
• Having proven expertise in CI/CD pipelines, API integration, and code review for scalable system development.
