FX Operations Leadership

• Manage end-to-end FX transaction lifecycle including trade capture, confirmation, settlement, reconciliation, and exception management
• Oversee operational processing across spot, forwards, swaps, NDFs, and related products
• Develop and mentor junior staff, providing training on systems, controls, and best practices
• Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor operational performance and proactively identify risks
• Ensure timely and accurate settlement while minimizing operational risk
• Act as escalation point for complex trade or settlement issues

Automation & System Optimization

• Identify opportunities to automate manual workflows and reduce operational touchpoints
• Partner with technology teams to design, test, and implement automation initiatives
• Drive continuous improvement of operational platforms and reconciliation processes
• Support system upgrades and digital transformation initiatives
• Develop operational reporting and performance metrics

Risk, Controls & Compliance

• Maintain strong operational controls aligned with regulatory and audit requirements
• Support audits and regulatory reporting activities
• Oversee implementation of control frameworks (e.g., RCSA, SOX-related controls if applicable)
• Review and approve exceptions, breaks, amendments, and late trade entries
• Strengthen data governance related to trade capture, reference data, and settlement data quality

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Liaise with trading desks, treasury, IT, compliance, and counterparties
• Represent FX Operations in governance forums, steering committees, and risk meetings
• Provide operational input during new product approvals (NPAs) or new business initiatives
• Provide operational expertise for system changes and product initiatives

Process Improvement & Governance

• Lead post incident reviews (PIRs) and ensure remediation plans are executed
• Develop and maintain an FX Operations operating model aligned with global standards
• Lead root cause analysis on recurring issues
• Develop SOPs and operational documentation
• Promote continuous improvement culture

Job Qualifications/Requirements

• 5+ years FX operations experience within banking or financial markets
• Strong understanding of FX products and settlement workflows
• Demonstrated experience in automation or process improvement
• Knowledge of SWIFT messaging and reconciliation processes
• Familiarity with treasury or trading platforms
• Analytical problem solving
• Process optimization mindset
• Strong stakeholder communication
• Attention to detail and control focus
• Project/change management capability

The salary range for this full-time position is $100,000.00 – $150,000.00 + bonus + benefits.

Salary ranges are determined based on qualifications, level, and location.
