We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and customer-focused Lead Cashier to join our team. The Lead Cashier plays an important role in ensuring smooth takeout and front-of-house operations while providing excellent guest service and supporting the training and performance of cashier team members.

The ideal candidate is organized, attentive to detail, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to lead by example while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to all guests.
  • Operate the POS system accurately and efficiently.
  • Process cash, credit card, and other forms of payment in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure the takeout station remains clean, organized, stocked, and welcoming.
  • Assist with resolving guest questions, concerns, and service issues professionally.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen, management, and front-of-house team members to ensure accurate and timely orders.
  • Train all new cashiers assigned to the takeout station.
  • Provide hands-on guidance and support to new team members during their onboarding and training period.
  • Reinforce proper cashier procedures, guest service expectations, and takeout station operations.
  • Lead by example and help establish a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Communicate concerns, recurring issues, or policy violations to the Manager on Duty (MOD) in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist management in maintaining consistent service, cleanliness, and operational standards within the takeout station.
  • Monitor inventory levels and supply needs for the takeout station.
  • Notify management of replenishment requirements before supplies become critically low.
  • Help maintain adequate stock levels to support uninterrupted daily operations.
  • Help coordinate workflow during high-volume service periods.
  • Perform other reasonable duties related to the Lead Cashier position as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 2+ years of hospitality, restaurant, or cashier experience required.
  • Previous lead, key-holder, training, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality environment.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and courteous under pressure.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to lead by example and communicate expectations clearly to coworkers.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on business needs.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements as required.
  • Must be able to safely handle food, beverages, supplies, packaging, and equipment as applicable to the position.
  • Food Handler certification, RBS, or other required local certifications must be obtained as applicable.

The successful candidate will be proactive, organized, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of their responsibilities while supporting both management and fellow team members.
