About the Job
The Department of Dermatology, University of Minnesota Medical School, and University of Minnesota Physicians are seeking a Medical Dermatologist to join our Dermatology practice in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area. The successful candidate will have graduated from an ACGME‑accredited Dermatology residency and be ABD board eligible or board certified. The position is full‑time and carries a rank commensurate with the applicant’s experience on the department’s Academic Track. The primary clinical duties include general dermatology and at least one subspecialty area. Research experience in clinical dermatology, education, medical dermatology, dermatoepidemiology, or related fields is strongly desired.
Practice Details
Full‑time position, 100% appointment. Location: Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area. Clinical practice of general dermatology and a dermatology subspecialty. Opportunities for development of new practice sites in collaboration with the core University site.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME Dermatology residency or Internal Medicine/Dermatology residency
- Board eligible or board certified in Dermatology
- Licensed or able to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice licensure
- Able to obtain/maintain DEA certification in Minnesota
- Meet threshold criteria for Credentialing and Privileges
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional collaboration abilities with partners and staff
- Highly detail oriented, self‑motivated, education focused, and a creative problem‑solver
- Ready to lead the development of new practice sites in partnership with the core University site
Pay and Benefits
Salary is market competitive and is determined by academic effort. Salary at the University of Minnesota begins at $58,000; clinical salary is provided through University of Minnesota Physicians. A 2‑year market competitive salary guarantee is offered, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes generous time off, an annual CME allowance, malpractice insurance with tail coverage, retirement contributions, relocation assistance, and other benefits.
