Job Title: Assistant or Associate Professor in Residence (CRNA Specialized Faculty) (R0151221)

Location: UNLV, Las Vegas, NV (on-site work across UNLV campuses and clinical locations)

Role and Responsibilities

The UNLV School of Nursing seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor in Residence (CRNA Specialized Faculty) at 50% FTE. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Teach nursing courses consistent with area of expertise
  • Collaborate with other faculty in course development
  • Use teaching resources such as WebCampus/Canvas to foster learning
  • Provide student supervision
  • Participate in school, university, professional, and community service activities

The position may involve teaching CRNA-specific courses in the didactic setting and clinical student teaching/simulation. Classes are offered year‑round using a trimester sequence. The appointment is a 12‑month, 3‑semester role at 50% FTE.

Department Overview

The School of Nursing offers CCNE‑accredited programs leading to BSN, MS (nurse practitioner and nurse educator tracks), DNP, and PhD (Educator and Interprofessional Health concentrations and DNP to PhD). For more information, visit http://www.unlv.edu/nursing.

Minimum Qualifications

  • The individual must hold a doctorate in nursing or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • The individual must hold or be qualified to hold a Nevada RN license; the applicant must also become a certified CRNA and obtain a Nevada CRNA license upon job acceptance.
  • Faculty rank will be determined by educational credentials, terminal degree, experience, and scholarly achievement.
  • Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience in academic and/or clinical teaching.
